NAAA Helps Raise Funds for Lynnway Accident Victims and Families

Earlier in May a tragic accident at Lynnway Auto Auction in Billerica, MA, the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) partnered with the Massachusetts Independent Automobile Dealers Association (MIADA) to raise funds for the crash victims and their families.

In addition to donating $25,000, NAAA is promoting MIADA’s Go Fund Me campaign, which can be found at

The goal is to collect $100,000 with all proceeds going to benefit the families.

The accident that occurred involved a SUV suddenly accelerated during the auction caused five fatalities and injured seven others.

“We are shocked and saddened by this heart-rending event in our remarketing community and urge all our members to please make a contribution today as well as share this Go Fund Me page with others through your social media,” said MIADA Executive Director Melissa Otis.

“We offer our condolences to all involved, including our NAAA member family at Lynnway,” said NAAA Chief Executive Officer Frank Hackett.
