Computerworld Names Manheim To 2012 List Of The 100 Best Places To Work In Information Technology

ATLANTA – International Data Group's Computerworld has selected Manheim as a 2012 Best Place to Work in Information Technology (IT). This list outlines the top 100 organizations that challenge their IT staffs to drive innovation, while providing employees with great benefits and compensation. Manheim and the other chosen organizations, including Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and FedEx Corp., were featured in a special issue of Computerworld on June 18.

The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company performance in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.

"We are extremely proud to be recognized as a great place to work," said Lilicia Bailey, senior vice president and chief people officer at Manheim. "We work hard to deliver the types of programs that employees both value and appreciate. In addition, we value our long history of innovation and collaboration – this has fostered a competitive spirit and has resulted in lots of great ideas and innovations for our organization."

Manheim's benefit packages are generous and include programs that enhance employees' professional and personal lives, as well as the communities in which they live, including time off for volunteering, tuition reimbursement and a carpool program to encourage conservation.

"The organizations on this year's Best Places to Work in IT list consistently seek out and hire the most talented IT people, offer them competitive pay and provide great benefits," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "Many of these organizations have spent years building top-notch IT workplaces, and we applaud the amazing work they've done to sustain dynamic environments where IT professionals can work with the latest technologies and play a key role in business-critical projects."

Bailey added, "We believe that fostering open and honest communication is at the core of our company's long-term success."

Manheim continues to be the global auto remarketing leader because it provides a work environment that inspires creativity, passion and excellence.
