Annual Event Raised $50,000 To Benefit The Wounded Warrior Project™

ATLANTA – Manheim Pennsylvania, the largest wholesale auto auction location in the world, hosted its Xtreme Spring “100 Grander” auction on Thursday, March 14. The sale, part of the location’s Highline auction, included 360 vehicles valued at $100,000, Ultra Highline ($75k to $99k) cars, Corvettes, Motorcycles, and Classic/Modern Muscle cars. Sale headliners featured a 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe that sold for $480,000 and a rare 1957 Chevrolet Corvette which grabbed $90,000. Proceeds from the event and Spring Charity Gala, which included 650 dealers, raised over $50,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project ™ (WWP).

“Manheim Pennsylvania was thrilled to host our annual “100 Grander” Sale on March 14. This sale combined five highly sought after vehicle categories: vehicles over $100,000, classic cars and muscle cars, and vehicles between $75,000-$100,000,” said Tim Van Dam, VP and GM of Manheim Pennsylvania. “We also chose The Wounded Warrior Project™ as our benefit charity because of its impact on the lives of Americans who have given a tremendous sacrifice to defend our freedom.”

The Wounded Warrior Project™ honors and empowers veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001, and their families. Offering a variety of programs and services, WWP is equipped to serve warriors with every type of injury – from the physical to the invisible wounds of war. WWP helps to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members and help injured service members aid and assist each other and provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

“I want to thank everyone at Cox Enterprises and Manheim, especially the team at Manheim Pennsylvania, for their hard work and commitment in making this such a wonderful and meaningful event,” said Chris Yasher, Wounded Warrior Project™ Alum. “The Wounded Warrior Project is extremely grateful for this partnership and generous contribution that helps injured service members and provides services to meet their needs.”
